Pharmaceutical dissolution tester is a microcomputer-controlled mechatronic testing device used for dissolution testing. It mainly consists of a motor, a thermostat, a basket, a stirrer, a dissolution vessel, and a lid. Proper maintenance and care of dissolution apparatus are crucial. Neglecting these precautions can lead to malfunctions over time.

Maintenance and Care of Dissolution Tester:

1. After each dissolution test, wipe off any spilled dissolution medium with a damp cloth.

2. Check both water bath circulators weekly, ensuring the air filters are not clogged and that the bubble flow pattern is normal. Change the water in the water bath at least monthly, and replace the air filters in the water bath circulators every six months.

3. Check the temperature accuracy every six months. If the temperature difference between the temperature probe and the calibrated glass thermometer exceeds 0.1℃, calibrate both the temperature probe and the water bath.

4. Check the drive head and guide rod every six months. If the guide rod's up-and-down movement is not smooth, apply a suitable amount of lubricant.

5. Check the bearings for flexible rotation every six months.

6. Check the idler wheel's rotation for smoothness annually, and inspect the wear of the drive belt, its tension, and vibration.

7. Verticality calibration of dissolution apparatus blades: The verticality of each blade shall be measured weekly using a calibrated set square.
